Central Varsity Boys Tennis placed second with 15 points in the Regional tournament Saturday, October 12 at the Greater Midland Tennis Center. Midland Dow finished in first place with 23 points and Midland High also qualified with 10 points.
This is the thirteenth consecutive year for the Trojans Boys Tennis Team to qualify for the State Finals. The team will compete in the Division 2 finals at the University of Michigan on Friday, October 18.
Michael Gibson ('20) and Dominic Palamara ('21) were flight champions at 4 Doubles.
The Trojans were finalists at 1 Singles - James Turner ('21), 2 Singles - Luke Appleford ('22), 3 Singles - Ryan O'Connor ('22), 4 Singles - Will Galsterer ('22), and 3 Doubles - Jack McNamara ('21)/Drew Humphrey ('22).
Central reached the semifinals at 1 Doubles - Tristan Ringsmuth ('20)/Jackson Wade ('21) and 2 Doubles - Nick Sommerfield ('20)/Evan O'Connor ('23).
