The Trojan wrestlers competed at the Brighton High School Manning Vinneu Duals this weekend, wrestling to a 6th place finish. The Trojans fell to D2 ranked #5 DeWitt 54-24 before defeating Goodrich 50-24. The last match of pool play found the Grappler’s against D2 #10 ranked Jackson Northwest who edged Central 42-39. The Trojans then defeated Grand Ledge 42-30 before falling to Saline 42-34 in the fifth place match. Going undefeated in the day was Senior returning All-Stater Damien Ballan and freshman Remy Cotton and Dutch Ballan. Going 4-1 we’re Gabe Weaver and Austin Bills. Also winning matches for Trojans was Ethan Ramsay, Carter Schmidt, John Lalonde, James Richards, Remy Soper, Kadin Crosley, Peter Olsen, and Luke Linder.

The Grappler’s are back in action next weekend for the Traverse City West Holiday Tournament, Saturday, December 28th at 9AM.
