The Traverse City Central Trojan Wrestling Team competed at the Traverse City West Holiday Tournament this past weekend with 9 wrestlers earning podium spots. Freshman Dutch Ballan was the lone champion at 103 lbs going 3-0 by way of 2 pinfalls and a 17-1  technical fall over a state ranked opponent from Yale in the finals. Earning 2nd place finishes were Damien Ballan going 3-1 at 135 lbs and Gabe Weaver going 2-0 at 119 lbs. Austin Bills finished 3rd place at 171 lbs going 1-1 and Kadin Crosley earned 4th placing going 2-2 with both wins coming by pinfall. Three Trojan wrestlers 5th place finshes with both Remington Soper and John Lalonde going 4-1, while Ethan Ramsay wrestled was 2-1. Junior Luke Linder also wrestled well to a 2-2 finish in a tough 152 lbs weight class.

The Trojans are back in action this weekend, Saturday, January 4th, at the Kalkaska High School Team Tournament.
