The Trojan varsity wrestling team went 2-0 tonight to start the big north Conference schedule Defeating Alpena 64 to 15 and a big win against Traverse City West 52-24. Going 2-0 on the evening for the Trojans were Dutch Ballan, Gabe Weaver,  Ethan Ramsay, Damien Ballan, Remy Cotton, John Lalonde, Austin Bills, and Remy Soper.  Also winning matches for the Trojans were Carter Schmidt and Kadin Crosley. 

The Trojans wrestled strong as they continue to improve match after match. Varsity Head Coach Funk said “Our team has some big goals for this season and our guys are hungry to be the best in the state. We have a special group of leaders that continue to improve both on and off the mat every day. We are incredibly proud of this group of young men.”

The Trojans travel to the Alma team tournament this Saturday where they are scheduled to wrestle state ranked D4 #5 Carson City-Crystal followed by D4 #8 ranked Leslie.
