Centrals varsity volleyball program is out to make a name for themselves. This weekend, they traveled down to Hudsonville (ranked #2 MIVCA) to compete against some of the top teams in the state. The Trojans went 3-3, and walked away happy with their performance. The girls started their travel at 5:00 in the morning, starting their first set at 8am against Spring Lake. After a bit of a slow start, Trojans were able to pull out a win in three with scores of 20-25, 25-21, and 15-13. Next up was Hudsonville. There were many great plays from each side. However, TCC ultimately fell with two close games with scores of 24-26, 21-25 Trojans had to create a new lineup due to circumstances out of their control, forcing players into new positions and allowing younger players to step on the court into starting roles. The rest of the tournament followed suit with losses to Gull Lake 25-23, 21-25, 9-15 and Grandville 20-25, 24-26.
